RWTD's WORLD
STORY
Ye brave soldiers, born poor or noble as you may,
yet all fated to die as one. Hearken.
Back when Aurgelmir, the ancestor, lived,
there was no fire, no water, no cold wind.
No earth, nor heaven either—only endless abyss.
Not a single flower blossomed.
The gods raised the earth,
bringing forth noble Midgard.
The sun blessed the land,
and trees and flowers spread.
Humans thrived, and great and many kingdoms did they found.
However...
From the east,
past the mountains where the giants dwelled,
came an army of demons.
They took the king's daughter,
and she lost her way to Yggdrasil,
a dreadful contract forced onto her.
Driven away from their homes,
the people crossed snowy paths,
by forests thick with roaming souls,
past the home gates of Death,
through lands that lie eternal;
and sealed inside a forgotten cavern,
they were pushed into Mirkwood.
One season followed another,
and so did thousand more.
The people did not count them anymore.
A new dawn follows yet another for me.
I hear a voice speak beside me.
She talks,
her voice the same;
that smile unchanged by the eons.
"You must be the new commander."
